Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040E14

If any of you have come across this error "Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040E14" while trying to do a STSADM restore, it's a very simple problem. It means the SQL server has run out of space for either the logs or the data file. Simply delete some un-needed files from the HDD that the SQL server is writting to and it fixes the problem.

I have the same error message but my server has plenty of space available... ???

hmm, i had the same problem too. What triggered it was a restore that failed due to a power shortage and the server got switched off. The only way i could fix it was to delete the web app and do a new restore. Is the drive the tempdb full?
