A very useful tool that analyzer your WSS.
"The SharePoint 2007 Best Practices Analyzer will collect all the data from your database, registry, etcand apply a set of comprehensive best practice rules against the data set. A detailed report listing is provided after the completion so you can make your SharePoint 2007 Portal faster and more flexible"
To download it, go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=cb944b27-9d6b-4a1f-b3e1-778efda07df8&displaylang=en
To run it, go to a command prompt and type:
sharepointbpa.exe -cmd analyze
If you have any problems, let me know.

Hi
It sounds great with a best practice analyser. But when i run it on my MOSS server i get this back:
"Microsoft Best Practices Analyzer for Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and the 2007 Microsoft Office System
Run Date: juni 2, 2008 12:30:36
WARNING: No messages in file. Analysis may not have been run."
So what was the idea of an analyzing tool?
Should it bee located in a specific folder or somehow point to a specific file?
Thanks
Mike
was there any errors in the logs? Sounds like it didn't run properly.
It should be used like this
sharepointbpa.exe -cmd analyze -substitutions SERVER_NAME CentralAdministrationServer
Best
Mike
Thanks Mike.
"sharepointbpa.exe -cmd analyze -substitutions SERVER_NAME CentralAdministrationServer" gave me the following error:
